May 1: Helldorado BBQ for southeast Las Vegas at the Clark County Museum, 1830 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. The festivities will be from 1 - 4 pm. There will be FREE barbeque for the first 2000 attendees. Questions? Call 455-7955.
May 7: "Founding Vegas: The Centennial Show" and "Three Ways Home: Nevada Becomes a State." These are original commissioned works created by the Nevada Theatre Company. The shows will be at the Whitney Library, 5175 E. Tropicana, at 2pm. This show is FREE. Seating is first come first serve. Questions? Call 873-0191.
May 7: Centennial Fly by Air Show. The air show/parade is scheduled for Saturday, May 7 at 10:00 am. Vintage air craft will mark the eighty-fifth anniversary of air transportation to Las Vegas by flying over the Strip beginning at Flamingo. This is a must see. Questions? Call 455-7968.
May 6 - 18: Helldorado Days-Western Village. Shine your boots and dust off your hat - Helldorado Days are returning to Las Vegas in 2005! A re-creation of old Las Vegas will be staged at the Fremont Street Experience. Questions? Call 281-0687.

* May 6: Las Vegas Elks Lodge will hold Helldorado Kick-Off Dinner.
* May 10: Helldorado Charity Poker Tournament at the Plaza Hotel Casino ($200 buy in).
* May 12-15: Western Village at 3rd Street at Fremont Street Experience.
* May 16: Helldorado Charity Golf Tournament at Silverstone Golf Course.
* May 18– 22: Las Vegas Gun Club holds Helldorado "Shootout" Trap Shooting Tournament
May 15: Happy Birthday Las Vegas!!
Let's celebrate our birthday as only Las Vegans can. The events start with a re-creation of the land auction that started Las Vegas. The auction will be held on the First Street Stage at the Fremont Street Experience and will start at 10am.
May 15: World’s largest birthday cake at Cashman Field. Cake will be served to all after the cake-cutting ceremony. Entertainment at Cashman includes: Kool & the Gang, Boogie Knights, the Flying Elvi, fireworks show and CAKE under the stars. Doors open at 5:00pm. Admission is free however tickets will be required for entry.
May 20: A Centennial Discussion with Dr. Michael Green. Learn the significant themes and myths of Las Vegas history. The discussion will be from 12pm - 1pm at the Lloyd D. George U.S. Courthouse, 333 S. Las Vegas Blvd. Questions? Call 229-4614.
